We are thrilled to announce that Catcher ambassador Rudy van Buren, well-known as a Viaplay Formula 1 analyst and the simulator test driver for Max Verstappen at Oracle Red Bull Racing, will be competing in the legendary 24-hour race at the prestigious Nürburgring on June 21st and 22nd, 2025.
Rudy will be sharing the driver's seat of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) from the Ireckonu/Max Kruse Racing team with teammates Jan Jaap van Roon, Tom Coronel, and Paul Meijer. To make his participation at the Nürburgring possible, Rudy had to obtain his mandatory licenses earlier in 2025. Thanks to the support of loyal sponsors, including Catcher, a dream is becoming a reality, and he will confidently get behind the wheel of the Porsche this June!
The partnership between Rudy van Buren and Catcher goes back several years. Security is a top priority for both Catcher and Rudy—not just during his races, but also for the simulator systems, for which Rudy is a leading supplier in the Benelux region.

Update - June 22, 2:00 PM
Unfortunately, the #927 Porsche shared by Jan Jaap van Roon, Tom Coronel, Paul Meijer, and Rudy van Buren is out of the race. Teammate Jan Jaap missed several yellow flags and subsequently drove through a Code 60 Zone at excessive speed. As a result, his Nordschleife Permit was immediately revoked, and he is not permitted to return this year.
Tom Coronel commented: "We were on course for a podium finish and could have continued without Jan Jaap, but we have decided to withdraw. And you can certainly have an opinion about that."
